Apple launches TD-LTE iPad Air and Mini for China

If you're living in China and missing out on the 4G action on your iPad Air or Mini, the good news is that the TD-LTE model of both slates are now available. Both the Air and Mini sport a different model number -- A1476 and A1491 -- and are meant to work on the China Mobile 4G network.
Both TD-LTE slates will be sold alongside current models in China (which are actually the global versions and will work with most LTE networks around the world). The 16GB model of the TD-LTE Air and Mini will have the same starting price of 4,488 Chinese Yuan ($772) and 3,788 Chinese Yuan ($610) respectively.
Outside of China, the TD-LTE Air and Mini will still be able to connect to 3G networks, but you likely won't be able to hop on a 4G network (unless it uses TD-LTE with the same bands). For those on a holiday in China and thinking of grabbing an Apple tablet to take home, be sure not to get the wrong model.

Reports suggest Google will once again be teaming with LG to build its Nexus 6 Smartphone this year, which will apparently materialize as a stripped-back version of the LG G3 flagship For fans of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 Smartphones, this weekend brings delightful if not entirely surprising news. Reports are doing the rounds that Google has once again decided not to tinker too much with a winning recipe and will thus be sticking with LG for the unannounced Nexus 6 Smartphone, which is apparently scheduled for a July launch. This time around, we have the folks atGizmodo Germany to thank for the good news, which largely confirms what the majority of us had assumed all along. Some had insisted that Google would tap into its Motorola wing to put the Nexus 6 together, but the smart money had always been on another LG collaboration and it’s looking like this will indeed be the case. In terms of exactly what t...
