"Nexus 6" Google Nexus 6 Smartphone Built by LG

Google Nexus 6 Smartphone Built by LG – A Low-Calorie LG G3?

Reports suggest Google will once again be teaming with LG to build its Nexus 6 Smartphone this year, which will apparently materialize as a stripped-back version of the LG G3 flagship
For fans of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 Smartphones, this weekend brings delightful if not entirely surprising news.
Reports are doing the rounds that Google has once again decided not to tinker too much with a winning recipe and will thus be sticking with LG for the unannounced Nexus 6 Smartphone, which is apparently scheduled for a July launch.
This time around, we have the folks atGizmodo Germany to thank for the good news, which largely confirms what the majority of us had assumed all along. Some had insisted that Google would tap into its Motorola wing to put the Nexus 6 together, but the smart money had always been on another LG collaboration and it’s looking like this will indeed be the case.
In terms of exactly what to expect from the Nexus 6, the report suggests that the device will effectively be something of a low-calorie version of the LG G3. Not that this is particularly helpful right now as the G3 is every bit as unannounced as the Nexus 6 and likewise isn’t expected to make an appearance for a few months at least.
Meanwhile, the same report joins a growing number of others with the suggestion that LG is also the force behind the fabled Google Gem Smartwatch, which is now said to be tipped for a side-by-side launch at the same time as the Nexus 6.

WhatsApp voice-calling feature spotted on the Web

WhatsApp voice-calling feature spotted on the Web Earlier this year, at the Mobile World Congress WhatsApp had announced it will soon launch VoIP calls, shortly after Facebook bought the company for $19 billion and looks like the time is nearing. Screenshots of popular messaging app's coming-soon voice-calling features went viral on the web on Friday, thanks to the blog iPhoneItalia. The images below depicts a beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone with a new interface for making calls. Further, the shots also suggest that the new WhatsApp won’t be very different from the existing app. The new VoIP feature will allow users to make voice calls with their smartphones over cellular or Wi-Fi connections. A few weeks ago, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum had promised to provide voice communication options to its iPhone and Android users with expanding it to Windows and Blackberry users later. WhatsApp already offers voice messaging that lets people leave recorded voice messages for on...

Get iOS-style lockscreen notifications on Android with SlideLock

iOS lockscreen  for Android with SlideLock SlideLock On iOS, every time you receive a push notification to the iPhone, the screen turns on, displaying the notification right on the lockscreen. No need for the user to touch, interact, or otherwise do a single bloody thing to their phone to view new notifications. All recent notifications are available at a quick glance. When the user should decide they’d like to address one of these notifications, simply swiping on the notification (the same direction you would unlock the phone) will pull up the app. If there’s some sort of security on the device, it’s only after this swipe that you’ll be asked to input your code or fingerprint. Essentially, it’s a lot like having Android’s notification pane always visible from the lockscreen, waking the phone for a few seconds every time you receive a new notification. Sounds like it would be pretty easy to mimic on Android, right? Wrong. Really, it hasn’t been until Android 4.3 that Goog...
