HP Introduces New 8-Inch Android Tablet

HP Introduces New 8-Inch Android Tablet
While HP might not be the first company to op in your head when the subject of Android tablets is mentioned, it’s been known to bring a decent offering to market. The company has just released a new 8 inch Android tablet at the incredibly affordable price of $170. That said, you’re going to want to take a look at the spec list before you pull the trigger.

Dubbed the HP 8, the tablet ships with a decent set of specs for the price:
·         7.85 inch IPS Display (1024 x768)
·         Allwinner Quad-Core A31s Processor
·         1GB RAM
·         2 megapixel fix-focused rear camera
·         VGA front-facing camera
·         16GB internal storage
·         Micro SD card slot (up to 32GB)
·         Stereo speakers
·         3800 mAh battery

While there’s a few specs in the list above that are certainly adequate enough for a mid-ranged tablet, there’s nothing that is going to wow anyone. Still, at a price of $170, it might be easy enough to overlook the lack of great specs, as the HP 8 will fit the bill for web browsing and some light gaming. Offered up in a silver finish, the HP 8 certainly looks sleek and the thin profile will ensure that it will feel nice when in your hands.

Apple launches TD-LTE iPad Air and Mini for China

If you're living in China and missing out on the 4G action on your  iPad Air   or   Mini , the good news is that the TD-LTE model of both slates are   now available . Both the Air and Mini sport a different model number -- A1476 and A1491 -- and are meant to work on the China Mobile 4G network. Both TD-LTE slates will be sold alongside current  models  in China (which are actually the global versions and will work with most LTE networks around the world). The 16GB model of the TD-LTE Air and Mini will have the same starting price of 4,488 Chinese Yuan ($772) and 3,788 Chinese Yuan ($610) respectively. Outside of China, the TD-LTE Air and Mini will still be able to connect to 3G networks, but you likely won't be able to hop on a 4G network (unless it uses TD-LTE with the same bands). For those on a holiday in China and thinking of grabbing an Apple  tablet  to take home, be sure not to get the wrong model.

Android 4.4 KitKat OS Reviews/Specifications:

Android 4.4 KitKat OS  Experience: Everyone was expecting Key Lime Pie to serve as the delicious moniker for the next version of Android. Google surprised us all by bucking tradition and releasing Android 4.4 under the name KitKat. Version 4.0 started life as  Ice Cream Sandwich , but the last three decimal additions came under the  Jelly Bean  banner. This new version was obviously deemed different enough to snag a new nickname, but not different enough to merit a jump to version 5.0. That 0.1 bump hardly does it justice. Don't be fooled: this is an important step up for Android. KitKat is super-smooth, the UI is refined and elegant, there are improvements to the long-neglected calling and messaging side of the platform, a new focus on productivity, and your fortune-telling digital assistant is brought front and centre as Google Now reaches maturity. General surprise in the tech world wasn't just based on the erroneous supposition that Key Lime Pie had to be ne
